A Few Pieces

XUAF · A FEW PIECES

Single with two remixes released once digitally in 2018

The single "Pieces" was meant to be the first single in a series, culminating in an album, but plans have changed...

The vocals and lyrics are by Susanna Fiore, a member of the Ruby Dolls.

Talking About Music Is Like Dancing About Architecture

XUAF · Talking About Music is like Dancing About Architecture

Physical and digital EP released in 2013

Their personal life at the time was challenging, but the music being created felt like the best they had yet produced and there was a need to share it with the world.

The artwork was of their surroundings; Holland Park in Kensington - down the road from their flat, the Shard at London Bridge - near to a workplace they had recently left and Guildhall in the City of London - next door to their current workplace.

Espace Son Et Mouvement -- series

XUAF · espace son et mouvement 1
XUAF · espace son et mouvement 2

So far two digital releases with an ambient theme.

The first espace son et mouvement release was a kind of 'best of' collection of tracks that delved into the ambient side of XUAF, in the style of Aphex Twin's "Selected ambient works" releases.

The second release was purposefully created as a collection of ambient tracks.

The Capsule People

XUAF · the Capsule People (2006)

This was an album that was never properly released, but had become fully formed by 2006

The album has had several artworks associated with it and was the last XUAF album to get into a finished state. Since then there have been album sketches, but never anything fully formed.

The capsule people was a product of XUAF's time in Christchurch, New Zealand. They were in a band called "The Shocking Pinks", the final track on the album has Nick Harte from The Shocking Pinks (well, The Shocking Pinks is Nick) playing drums

Ctrl & Freedom

XUAF · ctrl&freedom (2003)

The debut album

At the time of release XUAF was known as FAUX and lived in Auckland, New Zealand. The cover was influenced by Autechure, as were the sounds, although soundcloud only has a generic image.
